4th CRG’s ‘Balik Eskwela’ program reaches Zambo Sibugay and Zambo Sur
Zamboanga City (PNA) — The military’s 4th Civil Relations Group (CRG) has distributed various school materials to schools in the provinces of Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Sur as part of its “Balik Eskwela” Program for School Year 2009-10.
Maj. Gamal Hayudini, 4th CRG chief, said the distribution was made in coordination with Lt. Col. Basilio Pompa, the Civil-Military Operations (CMO) chief of the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division.
Hayudini said the beneficiary-schools are an elementary school in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and Tabak Elementary School and Eastern Bobongan Elementary School in Zamboanga del Sur.
He said the distribution of school materials is aimed at helping the students who lack school items for their daily needs in the classrooms.
Among the school materials given to the school children are coloring books, pens, crayons, notebooks, umbrellas and caps.
The parents of the school children as well as the teachers have expressed gratitude to the 4th CRG for undertaking such project. (PNA)
