Military’s Balik Eskwela reaches Zamboanga Sur
Zamboanga City (PIA) — The 4th Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Service in coordination with G7 of IID, PA Lt Col Basilio Pompa distributes various school materials to the different schools in Zamboanga del Sur under its Balik Eskwela Program for SY 2009-20010.
Tabak Elementary School, Pulacan, and Eastern Bobongan Elementary School all in Zamboanga del Sur were among the schools that benefited from said activity.
Major Gamal S Hayudini PAF, Commander of the 4th civil Relations Group, CRSAFP said that the same series of activity were held in the city as well as in some schools in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province where hundreds of school children benefited from the said undertaking.
“The distribution of the school materials is aimed to help those students who lack school items for their daily needs in the classrooms and so Balik Eskwela Program was initiated to be able to cater the basic necessities of the school kids,” Hayudini said.
Assorted coloring books, umbrellas, pens, crayons, notebooks, and caps were dolled out to the pupils of the mentioned schools.
The teachers and most especially the students and their parents were happy to receive the school materials from the military and were grateful since their school was chosen to be the venue of the said activity. (4CRG,CRSAFP/PIA9-BST)
