4 Sulu youths benefit from TESDA scholarship program
Zamboanga City - - (PNA) -– Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director-General Augusto Syjuco has approved the Qualification Map for Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) for the second semester of school year 2008-2009 benefiting 64 students from the province of Sulu.
Sulu First District Congressman Yusop Jikiri said there will be six courses that aim to develop the skills and competencies of the beneficiary-students through relevant training programs that will meet job requirements.
Jikiri stressed that the recipients of the scholarship program should make good use of the opportunity given them, citing education is a valuable investment for every Muslim youths.
“I hope to see our scholars excel in the future and become role models of the youth of tomorrow,” he said.
Jikiri expressed gratitude to Syjuco and vowed to continue to hold programs that will provide and strengthen training and employment opportunities for his constituents.
Jikiri recognized the very important and critical roles of TESDA in building better opportunities to the people of the province of Sulu.(PNA)
